Scott joined ConferenceDirect in January 2009 after spending over 20 years in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining ConferenceDirect, Scott worked in several disciplines with the Marriott Corporation over a 16 year time span: including Sales, Revenue Management, Event Management and Banquets. In addition to Marriott, Scott has also worked for other hotels as Director of Catering, specializing in handling high end weddings, large corporate and association meetings. Scott was one of the original Team members for MeetingMatrix International, helping develop their Operations Department for 3 years with the installation, training of their software and measuring the function space to be placed within the software throughout the United States and Canada. During his time with ConferenceDirect, he was the onsite lead for over a year working with the client for the Gulf Coast Oil Spill, assisting the client with housing, car rentals, meetings and other services in four different offices in two states. During his years with Marriott, he was part of the team for the Revenue Management Team of the Year as well as the Global Sales Team of the Year. Scott is currently an active member of the National Association for Catering & Events and has previously held board positions for 4 years.
